Getting There, by Jessica
I am officially ALMOST done with content review for every subject except physics - that is a very tough subject for me, and I will be working on it slowly until my test date.
The next portion of my time will be spent doing practice problems and practice exams.
Here’s to hoping something sticks. <3
Eaten By A Giant Marshmallow: RANT TIME →
missellakincy:
So I see a lot of people complaining about teen pregnancy. People say all the time that teen girls that are pregnant are whores/slags/sluts/etc., which is bullshit. I realize that some girls that get pregnant are these things, but not all of them. Some girls have sex all the time, but when a girl…
3 precious months, by Emma
That’s all i have left of my normal life. Well, I doubt anyone would consider my life normal but it’s all I know :) 90 sweet days (give or take) until I start medical school and just four short years until I’m in the real world!! That is both terrifying and exciting!! That’s all for now, physics and embryology have taken over my life.
Samantha, Hayley, and Juliana in...
Day Thirty
Well, this is it… A picture of someone you miss.
My favorite little kid. She will be 3 in June and is still that tiny.
-Emma
One of my best friends, Amanda, dancing with Hayley <3
I miss her so much, she is living in Texas right now but will thankfully be moving back to our home state this summer!

Diagnostic #2, by Jessica
The good news: I improved five points.
The bad news: It was still an awful score.
I hope I’m getting there…
Day 29
A picture that can always make you smile.
The most hilarious picture of Hayley EVER. It never fails to make me smile. I believe she was 3/4 months old.

He may have lost a bet :)

Day Twenty Eight
A picture of something you are afraid of.
Clowns.. and four year olds.
-Emma
Everyone on my father’s side has passed away from cancer. My own brother was diagnosed with his first cancer at 27. I’m secretly terrified.

Day Twenty Seven
A picture of you and a family member.
So, obviously I am not actually in this picture. This is my daughter Samantha, and my cousins daughter Madison. -Emma
The most epic late 80’s family picture EVER.
PS - I’m the baby ;)
~Jessica
Day Twenty Six
A picture of something that means a lot to you.
Family.
-Emma
I have to copy Emma this time and agree. These two mean more to me than anything else in the world <3
~Jessica
Day Twenty Five
A picture of your day.
Going to Penn State Lehigh Valley to get some work done, print (for free =) wooo), and see some old faces!
While I am there, I’ll order my cap and gown for graduation on May 7th =) I have to order tickets also. I’m not sure if I will even be going anymore, depending on how things go with my uncle in Rochester.
My car needs to be cleaned. Inside and...
April 8th, 2011. By, Emma
Today is Mustafa’s 23rd Birthday. As we get older, our birthdays start to mean less and less. Sure, we celebrate the 18th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th, etc. But for most of us, after 16, they aren’t as important as they once were. I am not one of these people. I celebrate EVERY birthday, regardless of what “milestone” it is. I mean, come on, without that day you wouldn’t...
Day Twenty Four
A picture of something you wish you could change.
This is a really tough one, there are so many things that I could change if I could. Unfortunately, being realistic, most of these things cannot be changed overnight. Jess and I had a conversation the other night about her career aspirations (including practicing in underserved areas), and changing the access of certain specialities to these...
Miracle of Science Bar, by Jessica
So nothing too earth shattering here.
My friend and I went out to eat last night at the Miracle of Science Bar and Grille, located in Cambridge RIGHT next to MIT.
I have to say…it was a pretty cool place. Since I was a Biotechnology major and have done my share of bench research, I definitely appreciate it.
The menu is a periodic table! If you look closely under each abbreviation,...
Day 23
A picture of your favorite book.
I absolutely love the Harry Potter series, and this is my favorite book of the series. I actually feel like I’m at Hogwarts when I read it - it is just so well written. I have a mile long list of favorite books, though, but this is one that I have appreciated as both a child and an adult.
~Jessica
Just trust me.

Day Twenty Two
A picture of something you wish you were better at.
Oh, hey Michelson Interferometer.
-Emma
Physics. I basically suck.
~Jessica
Day Twenty One
A picture of something you wish you could forget.
Ugh the horror. And it continues on in physics.
-Emma
So I am the world’s WORST horror movie watcher. I say, “YES! Let’s watch one! I LOVE THEM!” and then 99.9% of the time I’m freaking out and covering my eyes. Then I spend the next several weeks scared of the dark and needing to sleep with lights on and doors...
Day Twenty
A picture of somewhere you’d love to travel.
Ahhhh, Australia. I’d love love love to go.
-Emma
Ahh, Italy. I’d sell my left foot to be able to go right now.
~Jessica
Screw you Cancer, by Emma
I posted a few days ago a picture of my uncle, who was diagnosed with esophageal cancer this past summer. He went through chemo and radiation through the summer and fall at the Mayo Clinic, and was “cancer free” before christmas. I learned yesterday that the cancer is back, but I know he will beat it again, this time for good.
Day Eighteen
A picture of your biggest insecurity.
The bangs. It’s been 2 months and they still haven’t grown out. Ugh.
-Emma
Always and forever. Body image. I am my own worst critic.
This is a close second right now.

Tricks and Treats, by Emma
Sam and I spent last Friday at the Crayola Factory in Easton, PA. If you’ve never been and have children, I highly highly recommend it. They have so much going on for the kiddies and it’s pretty reasonable. I even had fun making some puppets and playing with model magic J
Today, April 1st 2011 was pretty damn epic. Not only was it the first time I have ever fallen for a fools day trick, BUT I...
Day Seventeen
A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.
Two things, 1) Sleeping. This is something new to my life, not entirely, but the concept of 7-8 hours a night is new. It has made such a huge impact on my life and I wish it would never end. 2) Babies. I hear babies crying and I want to have another one. Sam needs a brother. Pronto.
-Emma
SDN by far. I’m...
